"BRACKET-LOCK" LIGHT CURE ADHESIVE KIT"

E-mail this product to a friend

"This is the light cure adhesive used as the standard for repositioning or rebonding brackets, the initial bonding of molar brackets placed by direct or indirect techniques, and the initial bonding of direct bonded brackets 5-5. Bond strength is at the maximum level immediately upon light curing. The adhesive is thick, requiring force to push the bracket onto the tooth, expelling the excess bracket adhesive. This feature allows for the placement of several brackets (5-8 is common) at the same time without the risk of drifting ("no drift" feature). On the pre-etched, rinsed, and dried tooth surface, brush a thin coat of bonding resin. Do the same on the bracket base (it is not necessary to light cure this bonding resin). Place a small amount of paste onto the bracket pad, pushing the bracket to place with the IP Bracket placement instrument, checking the height and angulation, and removing any excess adhesive flash with a scaler before proceeding to the next tooth. After 4-8 brackets have been placed, confirm the final position and light cure the segment. Light curing with conventional bonding lights is recommended to be 30-40 seconds per tooth. The light beam will bounce off the translucent enamel rods, curing the underlying bonding adhesive. Light curing with plasma lights is 3-5 seconds per tooth. Bracket lock is sold as a kit (019-020), or in individual components: Resin (019-021), Adhesive Syringe (019-022), and Liquid Etch 38% (019-023).
