Is used for custom fabrication of palatal bars (TPA), usually in a straight form, because the wire is too stiff for intra-oral activation of an adjustment loop (use preformed palatal bars for this purpose). The double back bend to engage the Goshgarian sheath welded to the band is made with a lingual arch forming plier.
